Corey Maddox and Richie Washington provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Darien. The connection went for 61 yards, the longest such play in Southern Connecticut Division II - West this season.
Lyman Hall's Koby Mensah rumbled for the longest rushing play in the league this season in his game against Ludlowe last week. Mensah's team fell to the Falcons as he sprinted for 83 yards on the play and finished with 142 in all.
Jerry Rodriguez was the best receiver in the league this week as Lyman Hall fell to Ludlowe. Rodriguez tallied 4 receptions for 78 yards. Justin Brown helped Lyman Hall's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 36 yards.
Joe Nault was the most successful running back in Southern Connecticut Division II - West this week. In 14 carries, he ran for 203 yards as Guilford fell to Vincent Camera's team. Teammate David Knapp added to the ground attack by rushing for 81 yards.
Nault provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Indians lost to Wilton.
Maddox put up the best numbers in passing as Hillhouse fell to the Blue Wave. He finished with 7 completions for 148 yards and 2 touchdowns. Maddox's favorite target this week was Washington, who caught 3 passes for 68 yards.
The Trojans' Kyle Smith and Rodriguez have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback Smith has thrown for 184 yards this season, while Rodriguez has 4 catches for 78 yards. Guilford's Nault leads the league in rushing yards with 203.
Branford lost to Woodland Regional 46-19 last week, the largest margin of any game.
