It was a good run, but Brighton unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-match winning streak on Thursday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Westminster Wolves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

While Brighton ultimately came up short, they really made Westminster work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-14, 24-26, 25-21.

Codi Jackson paced Brighton's offense, picking up 11 kills. Jackson got some help from Kenna Von Ah and her 22 assists. Von Ah was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Brighton's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Westminster, they pushed their record up to 14-2 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Brighton will challenge rival Prairie View at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Westminster is set to square off against their familiar foe Boulder at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
