Volleyball Recap: Four Straight Home Victories for South Shore Vo-Tech

South Shore Vo-Tech took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Bristol-Plymouth RVT, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Vikings had just enough and edged out the Craftsmen 3-2. This was payback for the Vikings, who suffered a 3-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

South Shore Vo-Tech wouldn't go down easily and took Bristol-Plymouth RVT into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-21, 18-25, 25-15, 18-16.

Julia Da Silva paced South Shore Vo-Tech's offense, picking up eight kills. Da Silva got some help from Fenway Valiente and her 16 assists. Valiente was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

South Shore Vo-Tech's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. As for Bristol-Plymouth RVT, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Shore Vo-Tech will host Blue Hills RVT at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bristol-Plymouth RVT, they will welcome Old Colony RVT at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
