Michael Newton turned in yet another pitching appearance with more than six strikeouts on Tuesday. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Medina Valley is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 8-9 otherwise.

Newton's effort led Medina Valley over Del Rio and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
