Softball Game Preview: Highland Home Flying Squadron vs. Charles Henderson Trojans

Highland Home hasn't had much luck against Charles Henderson recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Highland Home Flying Squadron will head out on the road to square off against the Charles Henderson Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Highland Home is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 22nd straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They lost 15-0 to Eufaula.

Meanwhile, Charles Henderson started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Geneva. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 11-10 on Tuesday. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Jada Jones made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits (three). Another player making a difference was Aderian Greenwood, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

Highland Home's record is now 0-3. As for Charles Henderson, their record now sits at 0-2.

Highland Home suffered a grim 20-0 defeat to Charles Henderson in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Highland Home avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
