Basketball Recap: Central Texas Christian Lions vs. Round Rock Christian Academy Crusaders
The Central Texas Christian Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell 75-62 to Round Rock Christian Academy. Central Texas Christian has not had much luck with the Crusaders recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Wes Owens continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Round Rock Christian Academy, almost dropping a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds. Owens is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Greatting, who scored 13 points.
Central Texas Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season. As for Round Rock Christian Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-15.
Central Texas Christian will be playing at home against the Celtics at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Holy Trinity Catholic is no doubt hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses. As for Round Rock Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against the Cougars at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
