Nimitz has gone a perfect 8-0 against Westfield recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Nimitz Cougars will be playing at home against the Westfield Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Nimitz has given up an average of 12.5 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Nimitz fell victim to C.H. Yoe and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Yoemen, falling 15-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Cougars' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Westfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 35-34 heartbreaker at the hands of Dekaney.

Nimitz dropped their record down to 1-9 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Westfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Nimitz took their win against Westfield in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 19-5. Does Nimitz have another victory up their sleeve, or will Westfield turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
