Volleyball Recap: Papillion-Lavista South Finds Playoff Glory Versus Lincoln North Star

Papillion-LaVista South had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Lincoln North Star Navigators 3-0 on Saturday. The Titans haven't had any issues with the Navigators recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Papillion-LaVista South had a senior duo take command as Ella Eymann had 21 assists and six digs and Dani Vallinch had five aces and four digs. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for Vallinch.

Papillion-LaVista South was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in ten consecutive contests.

Marie Paneitz and Elsie Schmidt certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Paneitz had nine digs, while Schmidt had eight kills and two assists. Schmidt is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had eight or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Papillion-LaVista South's victory bumped their record up to 31-9. As for Lincoln North Star, the defeat snapped their winning streak at nine matches and leaves them with a 32-5 record.

As of now, neither Papillion-LaVista South nor the Navigators have any future games scheduled.
