Volleyball Recap: Baxter Springs' Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Baxter Springs waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Erie Red Devils. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.

While Baxter Springs won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-22.

Kadence Underhill paced Baxter Springs' offense, picking up nine kills. Underhill got some help from Sam Sheffer and her 24 assists. Sheffer also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Lexi Hatcher, each putting up two.

Baxter Springs' victory bumped their record up to 23-13. As for Erie, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-19 record this season.

Baxter Springs wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Columbus on the 14th. As for Erie, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Southern Coffey County on the 14th.
