Softball Preview: South Laurel Cardinals vs. Corbin Redhounds
South Laurel and Corbin are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long. The Cardinals are taking a road trip to take on the Redhounds at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. South Laurel is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season.
South Laurel barely beat Estill County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cardinals' pitcher stepped up to hand the Engineers a 7-0 shutout on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Cardinals have posted against the Engineers since April 29, 2016.

Kenzie Williams was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.
