Baseball Recap: Mott Comes Up Short

Mott was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 14-4 to the Walled Lake Central Vikings, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, with their most recent defeat being a 14-4 loss on Wednesday.

Mott saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Pozzi-Mondeau, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI. Another was Luis Caraballo, who got on base in both of his plate appearances with two runs.

Mott's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Walled Lake Central, the victory got them back to even at 4-4-1.

Looking ahead, Mott will face off against South Lyon at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Walled Lake Central, they will square off against Stevenson at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
