Basketball Recap: Washburn Triumphs

The Washburn Pirates beat the Eagleton College & Career Academy Royals 59-50 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pirates.

Matthew Harville had a dynamite game, dropping a double-double with 19 points and 11 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Landry Coffey, who posted eight points and five assists.

Washburn's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Eagleton College & Career Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Washburn wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 76-62 defeat against Cumberland Gap on the 24th. As for Eagleton College & Career Academy, they will head out to take on Wartburg Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
