Volleyball Recap: Silver Lake Regional's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

After flying high against Norwell on Friday, Silver Lake Regional came back down to earth. The Lakers came up short against the Plymouth North Eagles on Wednesday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Lakers have suffered against the Eagles since October 7, 2022.

Silver Lake Regional was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Plymouth North work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-20, 26-24, 25-16.

Anna Craft paced Silver Lake Regional's offense, picking up nine kills. Craft got some help from Megan Arseneau and her ten assists. Vanessa Smith and Rose Meehan kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Plymouth North had a senior duo take command as Minah Wong had six digs and three aces and Kaylen Mahoney had 11 digs and one assist. Those three aces set a new season-high mark for Wong.

Silver Lake Regional's loss ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 7-10. As for Plymouth North, their win ended a seven-match drought at home and bumped them up to 4-12.

Silver Lake Regional didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Hingham on the 17th. As for Plymouth North, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Duxbury on the 17th.
