Volleyball Recap: Cherryvale Comes Up Short

Cherryvale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Frontenac Raiders. If the Chargers were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Raiders when the teams met back in September of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-4.

Cherryvale's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9-1. As for Frontenac, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6-1 record this season.

Cherryvale wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Neosho on the 13th. As for Frontenac, they will head out on the road to challenge Columbus at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
