It was a good run, but Ocoee unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Foundation Academy Lions. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Lions when the teams met back in October of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.
The final score came out to 25-15, 25-12, 25-16.
Foundation Academy can attribute much of their success to Luna Dela Cruz, who had 12 digs and two aces. Dela Cruz is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last six games she's played dating back to last season.
Ocoee's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Foundation Academy, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-0.
Looking ahead, Ocoee will head out to challenge Central Pointe Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Foundation Academy, they will be playing at home against East Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
