The Hawaiian Mission Academy Knights's game on Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 40-31 win over Central Valley Christian Academy. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Hawaiian Mission Academy also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2020.
Hawaiian Mission Academy was led to victory by Rodnyl Tuscano and Zion Slade. Tuscano scored ten points along with four steals, while Slade scored 16 points along with six rebounds. That's the first time this season that Slade scored 15 or more points. Kailana Tavares was another key contributor, scoring four points along with four steals.
Hawaiian Mission Academy is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Central Valley Christian Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
