Baseball Game Preview: Fremd Vikings vs. Schaumburg Saxons

The Fremd Vikings will take on the Schaumburg Saxons at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Fremd hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Fremd's offense. They fell 5-0 to Buffalo Grove on Saturday.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Schaumburg walked away with it. They never let the Zee-Bees get on the board and left with a 3-0 win on Monday.

Fremd's loss dropped their record down to 26-4-1. As for Schaumburg, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-24.

Everything went Fremd's way against Schaumburg when the teams last played two weeks ago, as Fremd made off with an 8-1 win. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Saxons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
