Fairfax HomeSchool had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Saint John Paul the Great Catholic Wolves with a sharp 9-2 victory. The Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by seven runs or more this season.

Jazi Kulian looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Caleb Alberts was incredible, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. Silas Yoho was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4.

Fairfax HomeSchool always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .519. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in five consecutive contests.

Fairfax HomeSchool's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Saint John Paul the Great Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
