Volleyball Recap: Brookings Takes a Loss

Brookings lost against Northwestern Area back in August of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bobcats fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-1. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Brookings sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 22-25, 26-24.

Brookings' loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Northwestern Area, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Brookings will welcome Watertown at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northwestern Area, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Mitchell on the 30th.
