Baseball Recap: Kingsway Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Kingsway came tearing into Saturday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Williamstown Braves by a score of 9-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-5 back in April.

Killian McCaffrey tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Dylan Rickards, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Logan Taylor was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs.

Kingsway pushed their record up to 15-6-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Williamstown, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.

Kingsway will welcome St. Augustine Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Williamstown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
