Softball Recap: Pima Triumphs

After losing to Duncan the last time they met, Pima decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Roughriders came out on top against the Wildkats by a score of 10-7 on Saturday.

Pima got a big performance out of Josie McEuen, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most hits McEuen has posted since back in April of 2025. Bivianna Vega was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Pima was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .357 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Pima's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Duncan, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 3-1.

Pima didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 11-6 victory against Hayden on the 7th. As for Duncan, they will head out on the road to challenge Superior at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Wildkats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
