Soccer Game Preview: Asheboro vs. North Davidson

Asheboro is 1-7 against North Davidson since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Blue Comets will face off against the Black Knights at 6:00 p.m.

On Monday, Asheboro didn't have quite enough to beat Central Davidson and fell 3-2.

Meanwhile, it may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but North Davidson ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Oak Grove 2-1. The win was nothing new for North Davidson as they're now sitting on four straight.

North Davidson's victory bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Asheboro, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6.

Asheboro skirted past North Davidson 2-1 in their previous matchup on April 8th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Comets since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
