Soccer Recap: Hillsborough Takes a Loss

Hillsborough was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Plant City Raiders. While losing is never fun, the Terriers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 430th, while the Raiders are ranked 192nd).

Hillsborough's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Plant City, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hillsborough will host Alonso at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Alonso's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Hillsborough's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Plant City, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Jefferson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Plant City is facing Jefferson at the right time seeing as Jefferson is stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
