Volleyball Recap: Andrew Jackson Academy Starts off Right with Win over Holly Hill Academy

Andrew Jackson Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Holly Hill Academy Raiders on Tuesday. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Andrew Jackson Academy walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-18, 25-11.

McKinnley Beard was nothing short of spectacular: she had 18 kills, five digs, and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in each of the last 21 games she's played dating back to last season. Carrigan Moore was another key player, getting seven aces.

Coincidentally, Andrew Jackson Academy and Holly Hill Academy will both be playing Dorchester Academy the next time they take the court. The Warriors will head out to face the Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Raiders will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
