Football Recap: Taft Comes Up Short

Taft fell victim to El Camino Real and their airtight defense on Thursday. They took a blow against the Royals, falling 28-0. The Toreadors have struggled against the Royals recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Nathan Swinson threw for 131 yards on ten of 17 attempts. Erik Koron was his top target, picking up 76 receiving yards. On the ground, Jacob Southall rushed for 53 yards.

Takia Campbell had a dynamite game For El Camino Real., rushing for 179 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.4 yards per carry. Campbell was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards. Raul Berdon helped out on the ground, rushing for 86 yards.

Taft's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for El Camino Real, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-4.
