Oswego won the last time they faced Plainfield South and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Panthers came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 2-0. The victory was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Oswego not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Plainfield South to exactly 19 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19.
Peter Barnes paced Oswego's offense, picking up nine kills. Barnes got some help from Greyson Covay and his 23 assists. Will Mundsinger controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Oswego's win bumped their record up to 16-9. As for Plainfield South, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 15-9.
