Soccer Recap: Mary Persons Comes Up Short

Mary Persons was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They came up short against the Whitewater Wildcats, falling 8-1. While losing is never fun, Mary Persons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 282nd, while Whitewater are ranked 88th).

Mary Persons' defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Whitewater, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Mary Persons is set to challenge their familiar foe Fayette County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Whitewater will take on rival Upson-Lee at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
