Basketball Recap: Maryknoll Takes Down Ranked Mid-Pacific Institute

On Monday, Maryknoll faced Mid-Pacific Institute in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Maryknoll Spartans secured an 80-74 W over the Mid-Pacific Institute Owls. That's two games straight that the Spartans have won by exactly six points.

Mid-Pacific Institute's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Riley Miura, who went 5 of 8 to rack up 17 points. Another player making a difference was Logan Mason, who went 6 for 10 en route to 18 points and seven rebounds.

The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points over those games.
