Preview: Blanchester Wildcats vs. Georgetown G-Men
Blanchester has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Thursday. They will take on the Georgetown G-Men at 7:30 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Blanchester pushed their score all the way to 55 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 68-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Williamsburg.
Meanwhile, Georgetown lost to Clermont Northeastern at home by a decisive 66-50 margin on Monday.
Despite the defeat, Georgetown saw an underclassman step up: Morgan Preston scored 15 points. Preston scored a full 30% of Georgetown's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Bertram, who scored 4 points along with 6 rebounds.
Blanchester's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Georgetown, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Blanchester came up short against Georgetown when the teams last played back in January, falling 58-49. Can Blanchester avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
