Volleyball Recap: Hayes Comes Up Short

Hayes lost against Big Walnut back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pacers lost 3-0 to the Golden Eagles. The Pacers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-15, 25-8.

Claire Davis paced Hayes' offense, picking up 11 kills. Davis got some help from Mara Tope and her 16 assists.

Peyton Gordon was the offensive standout of the game as she had 14 digs and five assists. That's the most digs she has posted since back in October of 2024.

Hayes' loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Big Walnut, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Hayes has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Westerville North on the 28th. As for Big Walnut, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Olentangy Berlin on the 27th.
