Basketball Recap: Ponce De Leon Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Ponce De Leon can now relate to. They fell 42-31 to the Bethlehem Wildcats on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 45-28 back in December of 2024.

It was another big night for Kolton Amerson, who posted 16 points for Bethlehem. Amerson's evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points.

Ponce De Leon has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season. As for Bethlehem, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-2.

Ponce De Leon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bethlehem, they have already played their next matchup, a 47-37 win against Graceville on the 7th.
