Soccer Game Preview: Manistee vs. Chippewa Hills

The Manistee Chippewas will head out to take on the Chippewa Hills Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Chippewa Hills took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Manistee, who comes in off a win.

Manistee's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They blew past Buckley 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for Manistee.

Meanwhile, after soaring to eight goals the game before, Chippewa Hills was a bit more limited in their game on Saturday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Greenville. The defeat continues a trend for Chippewa Hills in their meetings with Greenville: they've now lost four in a row.

Manistee's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Chippewa Hills, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Manistee beat Chippewa Hills by a goal in their previous meeting back in April of 2019, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chippewas since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
