De Pere had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Manitowoc Lincoln Ships by a score of 66-53. Given the Redbirds' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Ships are ranked 271st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

De Pere's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Manitowoc Lincoln, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. De Pere will take on Ashwaubenon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in De Pere's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Manitowoc Lincoln, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Indian Trail at 4:00 p.m. on February 1st.
