Football Game Preview: Texhoma/Goodwell vs. Healdton Bulldogs

Texhoma/Goodwell will venture away from home to challenge the Healdton Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Texhoma/Goodwell's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Apache 42-0. The result was nothing new for Texhoma/Goodwell, who have now won five contests by 26 points or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Healdton came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 22-16 W against the Eagles. Those 22 points were actually the fewest the Bulldogs have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Texhoma/Goodwell better focus on containing Luke Puckett and Devon Bivens as the pair were huge in Healdton's win. Puckett threw for 109 yards and a pair of TDs on only five passes, while Bivens rushed for 58 yards on only seven carries. The dominant performance also gave Puckett a new career-high in passing touchdowns (two).

Texhoma/Goodwell's record now sits at 6-4. As for Healdton, their record is now 8-2.
