Baseball Recap: North East Comes Up Short

If North East was feeling good fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Aberdeen last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Indians fell just short of the C. Milton Wright Mustangs by a score of 9-8 on Monday. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

North East's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for C. Milton Wright, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. North East is set to face off against their familiar foe Perryville at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, C. Milton Wright will challenge rival Edgewood on Friday.
