Basketball Recap: Francis W. Parker Drops Highest Score of Season Against Southland College Prep

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Francis W. Parker). They walked away with an 81-68 win over Southland College Prep on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Colonels as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Francis W. Parker found their leader in sophomore Brady Harris, who went 10 for 16 en route to 26 points in addition to six steals and five boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Harris has scored all season. Miles Johnson was another key player, going 5 of 12 on his way to 14 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals.

Despite the loss, Southland College Prep still got an impressive performance from David Shaw, who went 8 for 15 en route to 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristan Garner, who posted ten points and four steals.

Francis W. Parker's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Southland College Prep, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5.

Francis W. Parker wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 63-49 defeat against IC Catholic Prep on the 18th. Southland College Prep has also already played their next match, a 69-51 victory against Harlan on the 17th.
