Volleyball Recap: Escalon Comes Up Short

Escalon was the 3-0 winner over Buhach Colony when they last played one another back in August of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Cougars fell just short of the Thunder by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Cougars' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Emma Strong paced Escalon's offense, picking up 12 kills. Strong got some help from Aniston Hunt and her 21 assists. Strong was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Escalon's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Buhach Colony, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season.

Escalon has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Vanden on the 11th. As for Buhach Colony, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Weston Ranch on the 11th.
