Bethesda-Chevy Chase is 10-0 against the Wildcats since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Bethesda-Chevy Chase Barons will head out on the road to face off against the Walter Johnson Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. Bethesda-Chevy Chase is looking to tack on another W to their 12-game streak on the road dating back to last season.

Bethesda-Chevy Chase put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 49-21 win over Blair. Given Bethesda-Chevy Chase's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while the Blazers are ranked 226th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Walter Johnson waltzed into their match on Tuesday with five straight wins but they left with six. They were the clear victor by a 47-25 margin over Magruder. Walter Johnson has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 22 points or more this season.

Walter Johnson's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kendall Alexander, who scored 15 points along with three steals. Alexander hasn't dropped below three steals for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Norah Youssef, who scored nine points along with five steals.

Bethesda-Chevy Chase is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season. As for Walter Johnson, their win bumped their record up to 11-5.

Everything went Bethesda-Chevy Chase's way against the Wildcats in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the Barons made off with a 57-31 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bethesda-Chevy Chase since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
