The biggest upset of the week belonged to Hampton, who took down 53rd ranked Franklin Regional, 17-13. Eddie Edwards caught five passes for 152 yards in the win.

The Talbots extended the longest winning streak in WPIAL AAA Northeastern this week by beating the Panthers, 17-13. The win marks fifth in a row for the Hampton.

Kyle Holmes and Josh Wannarnaker gave Derry a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Holmes threw for 274 yards and two touchdowns, while Wannarnaker ran for 227 yards. TJ Balega also contributed to the rushing game with 11 yards on the ground.

5-foot-8 quarterback Jon Nigro of Jacque DeMatteo's team is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1152. He has also thrown six touchdowns. On the ground, Mars's Joshua Schultheis has rushed for 1221 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Wannarnaker. The Derry star has 33 catches for 522 yards.

The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Mars takes on second place Hampton. Last week, the Fightin' Planets topped Hollidaysburg, while the Talbots beat Franklin Regional.

There should be lots of points scored when Hampton and Mars face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Talbots comes in having scored 238 this season, while Scott D Heinauer's team has scored 314. Hampton scored 17 points last week as it topped Greg Botta's team.

The Fightin' Planets took down the Golden Tigers 49-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Schultheis ran for 196 yards in the win.
