Eldorado had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They won by a run and slipped past the Rio Grande Ravens 2-1. The win continues a trend for the Golden Eagles in their matchups with the Ravens: they've now won three in a row.

Jace Sanchez-Reynolds was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Sanchez-Reynolds was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one triple.

In other pitching news, Cooper Burak tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

Back at the plate, Kavan Salas was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Ethan Marquez was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Coming up, Eldorado will welcome Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rio Grande, they will face off against Cibola at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
