Empire put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Lions a 14-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Ravens, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Angelina Dehler, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Lainey Kroeger was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

Empire's victory was their 20th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 22-0. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.9 runs over those games. As for Pusch Ridge Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Empire will square off against rival Tanque Verde at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Ravens 1, the Hawks 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Pusch Ridge Christian Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Sabino at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
