Baseball Recap: Washington Township Wins Going Away Against Westville

Washington Township won the last time they faced Westville and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Senators blew past the Blackhawks 8-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Senators.

Washington Township got a great performance from Hunter Lang as he struck out 11 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Those 11 strikeouts gave Lang a new career-high.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Destin Billings, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Drew Horvath was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI.

Washington Township's record now sits at 7-4-1. As for Westville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
