Recap: Hempfield Black Knights vs. Exeter Township Eagles
The Hempfield Black Knights''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 49-27 walloping at the hands of Exeter Township. Hempfield lost against Exeter Township in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 44-22 score last time.
Jayden Zandier continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Exeter Township, rushing for 251 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. Zandier's longest rush was for an incredible 77 yards. Nate Pashley also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Hempfield has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Exeter Township, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
Hempfield will look to defend their home field on Friday against Cedar Crest at 7:00 p.m. As for Exeter Township, they will head out on the road to face off against Conestoga Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
