Soccer Game Preview: Guyer vs. Coppell

The Guyer Wildcats will venture away from home to take on the Coppell Cowboys at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Guyer is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.

Guyer's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They beat Flower Mound by a goal, winning 1-0. Give the Wildcats' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Camila Mujica, who's now up to four this season.

Meanwhile, Coppell's game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Hebron. The Cowboys' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four contests.

Guyer's win bumped their record up to 6-1-1. As for Coppell, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0-1.

Guyer came up short against Coppell in their previous matchup back in January of 2016, falling 2-0. Can Guyer avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
