Basketball Game Preview: West Point Dragons vs. Liberty Lions

The West Point Dragons will head out to take on the Liberty Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Point will be strutting in after a victory while Liberty will be coming in after a loss.

West Point took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 50-18 win over San Luis. The victory was some much needed relief for the Dragons as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Liberty ended up a good deal behind Hamilton on Tuesday and lost 61-47. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Huskies recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

West Point will need focus on slowing down Francesca Sofia, one of several Liberty players who made an impact when they last played. She posted 21 points. Sofia's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Koker, who earned ten points.

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for West Point, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.
