Baseball Game Preview: Liberty Christian Warriors vs. Boyd Yellowjackets

The Liberty Christian Warriors will face off against the Boyd Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Liberty Christian will be looking to extend their current 15-game winning streak.

Liberty Christian is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Texas' top teams: Southlake Carroll, who was ranked second at the time (Liberty Christian was ranked 18th). The Warriors never let the Dragons get on the board and left with a 4-0 win on Thursday.

Wells has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Meanwhile, Boyd entered their match against Arlington Heights on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Boyd fell just short of Arlington Heights by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Boyd has suffered since March 29th.

Liberty Christian's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 29-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Boyd, their defeat dropped their record down to 25-4.
