Basketball Recap: Fairfield Comes Up Short

Fairfield suffered their biggest loss since December 9, 2024 on Monday. They came up short against the Benton Rangers, falling 54-34. The Mules were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rangers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Fairfield and nudges their season record down to 13-13. As for Benton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-16.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Hamilton County the next time they take the court. Fairfield will host Hamilton County at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Benton will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
