Softball Recap: Vincent Takes a Loss

Vincent lost against Childersburg back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Vincent Yellow Jackets fell just short of the Childersburg Tigers by a score of 4-2. The match marked the Yellow Jackets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Maggie Walker led a balanced group of hitters, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one double. Another player making a difference was Natalie Schiller, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Vincent's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Childersburg, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

When Vincent and Childersburg next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Vincent will take on Shelby County and their five-game winning streak at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Childersburg will try to stop Munford's seven-game winning streak when they meet at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
