Football Game Preview: Westside Rebels vs. Mountain Pine Red Devils

The Westside Rebels will head out on the road to challenge the Mountain Pine Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Westside has now lost ten straight dating back to last season, leaving the team hunting for their first win since the 13th.

Westside is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Mount Ida on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Rebels had to suffer through a 50-6 loss at the hands of the Lions. The Rebels were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-0.

Meanwhile, Mountain Pine scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 51-28 to Hector.

Westside's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Mountain Pine, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Westside took a serious blow against Mountain Pine in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 42-0. Thankfully for the Rebels, Aidan Putman (who rushed for 137 yards and two scores on only 12 carries, and also picked up 74 receiving yards) won't be suiting up this time.
