Basketball Game Preview: Dubuque Senior Rams vs. Waterloo West Wahawks

Dubuque Senior is 0-10 against Waterloo West since February of 2017 but things could change on Friday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Dubuque Senior is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game two weeks ago. They came up short against Wahlert, falling 48-22.

Meanwhile, Waterloo West was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Prairie an easy 67-45 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wahawks have suffered against the Hawks since November 28, 2017.

Waterloo West now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Dubuque Senior, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Dubuque Senior took a serious blow against Waterloo West in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 69-22. Can Dubuque Senior avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
